Getting Started

What is Medic Trainer?

Medic Trainer is a tactical medical training app designed to support timed medical drills, equipment preparation, evidence checks, training history and performance review.

Who is Medic Trainer designed for?

Medic Trainer is designed for users who need structured repetition of medical training tasks, particularly in tactical, military or emergency-response training environments.

How do I install the beta?

Medic Trainer beta access is managed through TestFlight. Beta testers should follow the TestFlight invitation instructions provided by the Medic Trainer team.

Do I need internet access to use the app?

Medic Trainer is designed around local training use. Core training activity, task selection, drill history and preferences are intended to work on the device without requiring a constant internet connection.

Using the App

How do timed drills work?

Users select a training task, prepare equipment, start the countdown timer, complete the drill, then record and review the result.

What is the equipment preparation screen?

The equipment preparation screen helps users review anticipated equipment before starting a timed drill, so preparation becomes part of the training process.

What are evidence checks?

Evidence checks are review points used to help assess whether key task requirements were completed during or after a drill.

Where is training history stored?

Training history is stored locally on the user’s device. It is not automatically uploaded to external servers.

Beta Testing

How do I report a bug?

Use the Beta Feedback form on the website. It prepares a structured email report that you can review before sending.

What should I include in feedback?

Include your device model, iOS version, app build, affected screen, what happened, what you expected, and steps to reproduce the issue.

Can I attach screenshots or screen recordings?

Yes. The feedback form opens your email app, allowing you to attach screenshots or screen recordings before sending the report.

Where can I see current known issues?

Known issues and current beta priorities are listed on the Release Notes page.

Writing Useful Feedback

What makes a good bug report?

A good bug report clearly explains what happened, what you expected to happen, where in the app it occurred, and how the issue can be reproduced. Include the device model, iOS version and Medic Trainer app build where possible.

What should I include in steps to reproduce?

Write the steps in the exact order a tester followed. For example: open the app, select a task, enable the equipment screen, start the timer, complete the drill, then save the result. Clear steps make it easier to confirm and fix the issue.

What screenshots or screen recordings should I attach?

Attach screenshots or screen recordings that show the affected screen, the issue itself, any error messages, and the result after the issue occurs. If the issue involves navigation or timing, a short screen recording is usually more useful than a single screenshot.

What should I avoid including in feedback?

Do not include classified information, operationally sensitive information, personal medical information, or anything that should not be shared outside an approved training environment.

Privacy and Data

Does Medic Trainer collect personal data?

Medic Trainer does not require user accounts and does not collect, transmit, sell or share personal information.

Where is app data stored?

Training tasks, custom tasks, history, equipment usage and preferences are stored locally on the user’s device.

Does the app use analytics or tracking?

Medic Trainer does not use analytics services, advertising services, tracking technologies or behavioural profiling.

What information should I avoid including in feedback?

Do not include patient information, classified information, operationally sensitive information or personal medical information.
